What kind of hard bags worked and looks good with your Star? I need it to be quite big and I'm wondering since there are cheap ones on Amazon and eBay, are those any good?

I’ve had good luck with OEM hard bags they fit perfectly and look great on the Star. Cheap ones from Amazon or eBay can work but often lack quality and durability. If you want something big and reliable, I’d stick with known brands.

I saw someone from Facebook selling their Vikings hard bags. I guess that's one option for you, too. Amazon/eBay are a little filled with scammers now. At least Facebook holds their dignity so they won't really scam with their real accounts or something, so it might be more unlikely there.

Since I went with ADVMoto hard saddlebags, my weekend rides have been more confident and I'm loving the new vibe, although its not as cheap as budget Amazon ones

A few budget-friendly options on Amazon and eBay actually hold up pretty well! You can take look at brands like Mutazu, and Ecotric
