Yamaha fastener part numbers actually help you identify bolt size and usually the length too. Though not new info, much of it's scattered online. If you're unsure about a bolt or nut size, sites like Partzilla or Bike Bandit show diagrams with part numbers. Using the number itself, you can decode bolt type, thread size, material, and sometimes length.

le me add one tip that maybe not many people know: Yamaha often uses a dash in the middle of the number, like 90105-06020. the numbers after that dash can sometimes indicate the length in millimeters. so, '020' could mean 20mm long. it's not always 1:1, but it's a good starting hint, right!

That’s a good point. Yamaha part numbers are actually more informative than most people realize once you know how to read them
