So far I've been doing some relatively short trips with my V Star 250 but I plan to take longer ones in the coming months. Anyone did some longer trips with their 250s?

Why not ask what kind of routes and gear others use, have you thought about comfort mods or luggage options to make those longer rides easier on your V Star 250?

Doable. Lots of people take their V Star 250 on longer rides. Its not super fast, but reliable and comfy enough if you plan breaks and pack light. Just take it easy and enjoy the ride.

Well, before I start planning any routes, I like to see if it's worth considering the 250 as an acceptable cruiser and then I'll think about mods and equipment. Any suggestions?
I upgraded the seat by adding some wind protection, made longer trips more comfortable.
Thanks for this. Any specific model to look for or are these universal?

I got the Yamaha OEMs, they seem pretty okay
Thanks, I'll look into this. I'm guessing the installation process is something I can do myself? I don't ming going to a dealer or a shop, but if it's a beginner friendly process, I'd like to do it myself.
